Handling methods for special situations of insulated cups

Table of Contents

1. There is an odor in the inner container

(1) Tea soaking method: Fill a thermos with soaked tea leaves, add hot water and soak for several hours. The fragrance of the tea leaves can remove odors, and then rinse thoroughly.

(2) Lemon Juice Method: Pour lemon juice into a thermos and soak for 1-2 hours. Citric acid can effectively decompose odors, then rinse with water.

(3) Activated carbon adsorption method: Put activated carbon into a thermos cup, cover it with a lid and let it sit overnight. The adsorption of activated carbon can remove odors, then pour out the activated carbon and wash the cup.

2. There are stains or scale on the inner liner

(1) White vinegar cleaning method: Pour 1/4 cup of white vinegar into a thermos, then add warm water to 80% full, soak for 2-3 hours, and shake appropriately during this period. The acetic acid in the white vinegar can dissolve the scale, and then rinse with clean water.

(2) Baking soda cleaning method: Take 1-2 spoons of baking soda and put it in a cup, add warm water, and gently wipe the stain with a soft cloth or brush. Baking soda can remove oil and scale, and finally rinse it clean.

(3) Toothpaste wiping method: Squeeze an appropriate amount of toothpaste onto a soft cloth, gently wipe the stains inside the thermos cup. The abrasive and cleaning ingredients of the toothpaste can effectively remove dirt, and then rinse with water.

3. The cup lid is leaking water

(1) Check the sealing ring: Check whether the sealing ring is deformed, damaged, or has foreign objects. If there are foreign objects, clean them thoroughly; If deformed or damaged, the same type of sealing ring needs to be replaced.

(2) Tighten the cup cap: Ensure that the cup cap is tightened in the correct direction. If there is dirt on the threads, it will affect the seal and needs to be cleaned before tightening.

(3) Check the cup mouth: Deformation and scratches on the cup mouth can also cause water leakage. Minor deformations can be carefully corrected with tools, while scratches can be smoothed with sandpaper.

4. The insulation effect deteriorates

(1) Check the cup body: Check for obvious dents or damage to the cup body. Minor dents do not affect insulation and need not be treated. For severe dents or damage, it is recommended to replace the cup with a new one.

(2) Testing the vacuum layer: If there is suspicion of damage to the vacuum layer, you can place your ear close to the cup mouth to listen for any air leakage sound. If there is, it indicates that there is a problem with the vacuum layer and generally requires professional repair or replacement.

(3) Pay attention to usage habits: If you frequently fill the cup lid with too much hot water to dissipate heat, or frequently open and close the cup lid, it will affect the insulation effect. You need to correct your usage habits.
