The thermos cannot be used in this way

Table of Contents

1. Do not fill the thermos with hot water

There are three major drawbacks to using a thermos to hold hot water:

(1) If it is a straw cup, when opened, boiling water will spray out directly from the straw, which can easily burn people.

(2) If it is a non straw cup, due to its good sealing, the water vapor of boiling water will accumulate, and frequent shaking can easily lead to explosion;

(3) When thirsty, one cannot immediately drink warm water and has to let it dry for half a day.

So, the main function of a thermos is actually to maintain the temperature of water, keeping it cold or hot, allowing you to drink warm or cold water anytime.

The correct approach should be to fill it with warm water, so that there are no safety hazards and it can be consumed anytime, making it more convenient to use.

2. The label at the bottom of the thermos cannot be torn off

Many people buy insulated cups and tear off the bottom label, but in fact, this practice is seriously wrong. The label on the bottom of the insulated cup cannot be torn off.

This label, known as a protective film in the industry, serves to protect the “vacuum”! In order to achieve this vacuum state, the manufacturer will make a small hole at the bottom of the insulated cup, and then melt and seal it with a small ball after pumping. However, this small ball is prone to breakage, and once it breaks, it may leak air, affecting the insulation effect.

So, manufacturers will stick stickers or rubber pads at the bottom, which can cover up the ugliness and also provide cushioning after falling.

Overall, once you receive the new thermos, you can no longer tear off the label.
